Course Overview

Worker enters an Australian construction site wearing required PPE for White Card training and construction safety awareness.

CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry is the mandatory safety induction required before undertaking any construction work in Western Australia. The course covers your legal duties and rights as a worker, how to identify and report common construction hazards, basic risk control measures, and how to respond to incidents and emergencies on site. It also covers the correct selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for construction work.

This course is a legal requirement — not optional training. If you work or intend to work on a construction site in any capacity, you must hold a White Card before you start.

Training is delivered by experienced trainers at our facility or on-site across Western Australia. Participants must provide evidence that they are located in Western Australia at the time of assessment to be issued a WorkSafe WA approved Construction Induction Training (CIT) card.

Team training

If you are onboarding new staff or workers who do not yet hold a White Card, we can come to your site and deliver the training to your team together. On-site delivery is available across Western Australia. Contact us to discuss group bookings and scheduling options.
