Training that works on site, not just on paper.
When your workers complete training with Paratus, they come back competent. Not just certificated — competent. There's a difference, and in high-risk operations it matters.
We deliver nationally recognised, ASQA-compliant training across Western Australia, with a strong emphasis on on-site delivery. Whether you're managing a construction site, a resource operation, a utility corridor, or an industrial facility, we can bring training to your workforce — on your schedule, in your environment.
On-Site Delivery Across WA
We come to you.
Training in a real operational environment reduces time away from site, and allows us to contextualise content to the equipment, procedures, and hazards your workers will actually encounter on the job.

Regional WA
There is no minimum group size to book on-site or dedicated delivery. Whether you have two workers who need the same unit or twenty, we can schedule a session to suit your operational calendar — a single course across one day, or a multi-unit programme delivered in stages.
On-site delivery is charged at a day rate. Where travel is required, travel costs are additional and confirmed with you upfront before anything is booked.

What You're Actually Paying For
There are RTOs in WA that will put your workers through a course and tick the box. We are not one of them.
Our CEO has spent over 25 years in RTO compliance and training development. Our trainers are active industry practitioners — they hold current trade qualifications, work in the field, and bring genuine operational experience into every session. They can answer the real questions, from the real scenarios, because they've been there.
That experience is what separates a day of training that produces a compliant worker from one that produces a capable one.
What this means for you as an employer:
-
Your workers understand why the standard exists, not just what it requires.
-
They can apply their training under pressure, in unfamiliar conditions — not just in a controlled assessment scenario.
-
Your organisation's duty of care obligations are met by genuine competency, not a certificate on file.
High-risk operations attract a workforce of highly capable, experienced people — many of whom do not demonstrate that capability well in a written test. That is a well-documented reality in vocational training, and we take it seriously.
Where a worker is struggling with written content or assessment — due to low literacy, English as a second language, or other learning needs — we do not simply pass them through to meet a deadline. We work with them.
That means:
-
Additional learning support resources to build genuine understanding of the content, not just familiarity with the answers
-
Verbal assessment options where permitted by the training package
-
Referral to language, literacy, and numeracy services where appropriate
-
Direct communication with you if a worker requires more time or a different pathway
One thing to be aware of: For High Risk Work Licence units, WorkSafe WA requires the written knowledge assessment to be completed in English, without assistance. This is a regulatory requirement, not a Paratus policy. If a worker's written English is not at the required standard, we will tell you clearly and early — rather than put them through a process they are not prepared for.
Our obligation is to produce workers who are genuinely ready to operate safely. That is in your interest, your workers' interest, and the interest of everyone else on site.
Supporting Workers Who Struggle with Written Assessment
Contextualised and Customised Training
Where the training package allows, we can contextualise course content to reflect your organisation's procedures, documentation, equipment, and site-specific hazards.
This is not a surface-level change to a generic workbook. Contextualisation means your workers are assessed against scenarios relevant to their actual role — improving both the depth of learning and the practical value of the outcome.
We can also work with you to develop non-accredited training components to sit alongside nationally recognised units, particularly where your site has specific induction, procedural, or operational requirements.
Reach out to us to discuss what is possible within your scope.
Verification of Competency (VOC)
Holding a current licence confirms that a worker has met the national standard — it does not confirm that they are operating to that standard today, on your equipment, in your environment.
A VOC gives you that confirmation.
We offer VOC assessments across our high risk licence units. Each VOC is conducted by a qualified assessor against the requirements of the relevant nationally recognised unit of competency, covering both practical demonstration and written knowledge. Workers are assessed on what they can actually do — not on how long ago they were trained.
This is particularly useful when onboarding new workers, returning workers, or contractors whose recent operational history you cannot verify.
