Why Choose Paratus Training
Prepared.
Not just trained.
Paratus is a Latin word. It means ready. That's the standard we hold every course to — not whether a student sat in the room, but whether they're genuinely capable when it matters.
We deliver high-risk licence and workplace safety training across Western Australia, on-site and at our Bayswater facility. Our scope is specific by design. We don't try to train everyone in everything.
We train people in the work that carries real risk — and we do it properly.

Paratus Training is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 45274), registered with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and operating under the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2025.
Every course we deliver leads to a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment or qualification — issued with a digital signature, unique certificate number, and QR code for employer verification. Your training records are also accessible through your USI account, permanently and at no cost.
That registration carries real obligations. Our training and assessment must meet the national standard for each unit. Our trainers and assessors are qualified and current. Our systems are audited. When you train with us, the piece of paper behind it is legitimate.
Who we are
Paratus Training (RTO 45274) is led by Catherine Baggio, a compliance and training specialist with more than 25 years of experience in the VET sector. That background shapes everything about how we operate — our systems, our assessments, our trainers, and the standards we hold ourselves to.
We're registered with ASQA and deliver nationally recognised training under the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2025. When you train with us, the qualification means something.
What We Stand For
Quality
Every course we deliver is measured against the national standard — not an internal benchmark. Our trainers are qualified, our assessments are rigorous, and our materials are built around what workers actually need to know to do the job safely.
Collaboration
We work with site managers, employers, and industry partners to make training fit the operation, not the other way around. On-site delivery, scheduling around shift patterns, and genuine communication before and after the day are part of how we do business.
Responsive
When you have a question, a scheduling need, or a problem on the day, you'll reach a person. We keep our communication straightforward and our response times short — because your time on site matters.
Integrity
We say what we deliver, and we deliver what we say. That means honest assessment outcomes, transparent fees, and no shortcuts in training that carries real risk. Your workers' safety, and your organisation's compliance, depends on it.
What we believe
There's a line from Rudyard Kipling that sits at the heart of what we do:
"For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack."
It cuts both ways. A team is only as safe as the least capable person on it. And no worker operates in isolation — the people next to you are relying on the fact that you know your job.
That's why we don't run tick-and-flick courses.
Our trainers have worked in the industries they teach. They bring that experience into every session.
When your workers leave our training, they should be able to do the job — not just hold a certificate that says they can.
Hands-on delivery. Real equipment, real scenarios, real assessment. Our written assessments are closed book — students need to know the content, not just find it on the day. Practical demonstrations are assessed against the national standard, not a checklist designed to pass people through.
We train in Perth metro and across regional WA. If your workforce is on-site, we'll come to you.
Our trainers hold current TAE40122 qualifications, relevant vocational credentials, and stay current through ongoing industry work. They're not career educators who've never been on a worksite.
They've made the calls your workers will one day have to make.
What that looks like in practice
What we offer
High-risk licence training, workplace safety units, and operational skills — including forklift, scaffolding, rigging, dogging, crane operations, confined spaces, working at heights, EWP, and more.
For leadership and management pathways, we also deliver the Diploma of Leadership and Management and Diploma of Project Management.

The Short Version
We exist to make workplaces safer by making workers genuinely capable. If that's what you're looking for in a training provider, we're worth a conversation.
