Course Overview

Safety exclusion zone established for high pressure water jetting operations, with warning signage, barricade tape and equipment positioned in a controlled work area.

MSMWJ202 – Use High Pressure Water Jetting Equipment gives participants the practical skills and knowledge to safely operate high pressure water jetting equipment as part of a work team, under the direct supervision of a competent and qualified operator. The course covers how to plan and prepare for jetting operations, assemble and set up Class B equipment, conduct supervised jetting tasks including gun operations and a range of industry applications, and complete all shutdown, maintenance, and documentation requirements.

This unit covers the entry level of high pressure water jetting competency. Participants work under supervision and are not yet qualified to operate independently — independent operation requires MSMWJ304 – Operate a High Pressure Water Jetting System, for which this unit is a mandatory prerequisite.

Both units are delivered by Paratus Training, giving participants a clear pathway from entry level through to independent operator. Training is delivered in compliance with AS/NZS 4233.1:2013 High Pressure Water Jetting Systems — Safe Operation and Maintenance and the Safe Work Australia Guide for Managing Risks from High Pressure Water Jetting, at our facility or on-site across Western Australia.
