Course Overview

Scaffolding system installed around a multi-storey building under construction, showing safe access structures and working platforms used in the construction industry.

CPCCLSF3001 – Licence to Erect, Alter and Dismantle Scaffolding Intermediate Level gives participants the practical skills and knowledge to safely perform intermediate scaffolding work in line with WHS legislation and industry requirements. Building on the Basic Scaffolding licence, this course covers how to plan intermediate scaffolding tasks, select and inspect more complex scaffold systems and equipment, set up and manage the work area, and erect, alter, and dismantle a broader range of scaffold structures.

Please note: you must hold a current Scaffolding Basic (SB) High Risk Work Licence or a Statement of Attainment for CPCCLSF2001 – Licence to Erect, Alter and Dismantle Scaffolding Basic Level before you can enrol in this course.

If you do not yet hold a Basic Scaffolding qualification, you will need to complete that training first.

Training is delivered by experienced industry trainers at our facility or on-site across Western Australia. On successful completion of training and assessment, participants can apply to WorkSafe WA for their High Risk Work Licence in the Scaffolding Intermediate (SI) class.

Certification

Participants who successfully complete all training and assessment requirements will be issued a Statement of Attainment for CPCCLSF3001 – Licence to Erect, Alter and Dismantle Scaffolding Intermediate Level by Paratus Training (RTO 45274).

To obtain your High Risk Work Licence, you must submit your Statement of Attainment to WorkSafe WA along with a completed licence application. The Scaffolding Intermediate (SI) licence is issued by WorkSafe WA, not by Paratus Training. Licence fees and application requirements are set by WorkSafe WA.

Paratus Training can submit your WorkSafe WA licence application on your behalf for an additional fee of $120. Ask us about this when you enrol.

Who needs this training?

New to industry

If you hold a current Scaffolding Basic (SB) licence and your work requires you to erect, alter, or dismantle more complex scaffold structures — including tube and coupler, cantilevered, or mast climber systems — this course gives you the skills and knowledge to work safely at the intermediate level and apply for your SI licence through WorkSafe WA.

Renewal due

High Risk Work Licences in WA are renewed every five years through WorkSafe WA. Renewal is an administrative process and does not require refresher training. However, many employers and principal contractors require a Verification of Competency (VOC) before allowing operators on site. Contact us to discuss VOC assessments for this unit.

Team training

If your business requires licensed intermediate scaffolders across multiple sites or projects, we can come to you. On-site delivery is available across Western Australia and can be tailored to your site environment and equipment. Contact us to discuss group bookings and scheduling options.
